Kick Panels from Custom Autosound allows you to add more speakers to the car and at the same time maintain the original factory appearance. Although dash speakers are always the easy targets for upgrade and replacement, kick panels offers the best option for speaker customization and placement.
The kick panel speakers produce great sound, have a “no medication” fit and help to enhance the appearance of the car’s interior. Most kick panel models come with 6½" coaxial (2-way) speakers that have a power handling capacity of 80 watts. The ’55-’59 Chevy trucks however use 4”2-way speakers with a power handling capacity of 60 watts. The kick panel speakers can be upgraded with the Pioneer 6½" coaxial that have a power handling capacity of 120 watts.
The kick panel speakers produce a balanced stereo experience. The Custom Autosound kick panel speakers come in a black ABC plastic and have a black texture which can also be painted so as to march the color of the car’s interior. The kick panels are customized to accommodate several speaker options. Many kick panels can accommodate the 6.5” speakers while others can carry the 4.6” speakers because of the limitation with the shape of the kick panel plus the body of the car. The 6.5” speakers can be customized with the Pioneer speakers or Custom Autosound.
